| Most Southern Gospel recording artists can point to a particular moment
when it became clear that God placed a special calling on their lives. For
Gospel Enforcers, that time was March 1984, when the group officially
organized. During the past 20 years, The Gospel Enforcers have enjoyed
much success, but the group's musical roots lie far beyond the past decade.
In fact, collectively The Gospel
Enforcers possess over a century of experience in the gospel music ranks.
The Gospel Enforcers have come to be known as one of the most exciting
groups in the Southern Gospel Industry.
The formation of The Gospel Enforcers took place when, Ronald Conley,
decided to create a new musical entourage. Ronald had been in Gospel
Music for a numbers of years, having performed with a Lenoir, North Carolina
group known as The Spiritual-aires from which the Gospel Enforcers originated.
After leaving The Spiritualaires, Ronald took the position of band
director and lead guitarist for the world renowned legends Bill Pinkney
and “The Originals Drifters” before organizing The Gospel
Enforcers. Since then The Gospel Enforcers, this talented group has
traveled up and down the Eastern Seaboard as well as the mid west sharing
their unique musical style. They have performed with many of the
industry's top artist. In 1988, The Gospel Enforcers released their
first recording, and after several other recordings, the group captured
the attention of American Christian Artist label head, Tim Greene. The
group's debut recording ACA generated the release of their first national
single. In 1994, the group entered the National Quartet Convention
Talent Search and took the runner-up award, where their music was exposed
to thousands of Gospel Music lovers, as well as many of the industry's
most prominent record company executives. One of those executives
was multi-talented producer Eldridge Fox, label head for Horizon Music
Group. Shortly thereafter, the group reached a recording agreement
with Horizon, and released their " Side By Side" recording on
the company's Pinnacle label.
After enjoying success with Horizon Music Group, The Gospel Enforcers
returned to their original home with Tim Greene and American Christian
Artist label. Their first charting single came as a result of the
union. "I've Got The Papers To Prove It"; written by Tim
Greene was the groups first charting song. The Gospel Enforcers
released their first top 40 charting song with Holy Ghost Revival which
was written by Jeff Steele. After a brief contract on the Cross &
Crown label of the Eddie Crook Company, The Gospel Enforcers now record
with the Crossroads Music Company on the Sonlite Record label. They now
have a scheduling agreement with the top booking agency in the Southern
Gospel Music industry, The Beckie Simmons Agency.
In recent years, the group has enjoyed phenomenal national success with
exposure in both the USA Today and Billboard Magazine. The group
also appeared at the Anniston City Auditorium as part of the 1996 Olympic
Games celebration. In April of 1999, The Gospel Enforcers were part
